Removing the Battery

If you are conﬁdent in undertaking upgrade procedures yourself, for safety reasons it is

best to remove the battery.

1. Turn the computer off, and turn it over.

2. Slide the latch in the direction of the arrow, and hold it in place.

3. Slide the battery in the direction of the arrow .

4. Lift the battery up and out in the direction of the arrow .

5. Insert the battery by pushing it straight down into the battery bay (it will only

ﬁt one way, don’t force it).

6. Make sure the battery is sitting ﬂat in the slot, and then slide the battery in

the direction of the arrow until the lock clicks into place.
